About JC

Rooted in values.
Driven by purpose.

JC’s journey is shaped by a passion for people, personal growth, and creating real-world impact — inspiring young minds to believe in themselves and make a difference.

JC Das is the founder of GLY (Mindfulness for Kids) and the author of Good Luck Yogi, a children’s book series that teaches mindfulness, confidence, resilience, and kindness. His mission is simple: empower the next generation with the tools to lead calmer, kinder, and more purposeful lives — one child at a time.

JC spent six years training with monks in India and throughout North America, deeply engaged in spiritual study and practice, where he developed a strong foundation in inner peace and self-awareness. Later, as an Interfaith Chaplain at the University of Southern California (USC), he supported students from diverse backgrounds, leading meditation workshops to help them manage stress and life’s challenges. These experiences inspired him to expand his mission to younger audiences, leading to the creation of Good Luck Yogi (GLY) — a modern, playful approach that makes mindfulness accessible and engaging for kids.

What drives him

JC believes mindfulness isn’t just a practice — it’s a way of life. When we teach kids to be mindful, we give them the power to change their world. That conviction is the through-line behind everything he builds, from the page to the classroom to the stage.
